Surrendering Your Pet

The Hancock County Animal Shelter is currently experiencing high volumes of animal intake. All surrendered pets must be put on a waiting list (normally less than a month of wait time). If you need to surrender your pet, please call the shelter at (304) 387-4102. The shelter will never turn an animal in need away.

Please be aware that HCAS is NOT a no kill shelter.
